Mirage

MUA: http://www.cuttingedgebeauty.biz/ Designer: Gata and Muheeka http://jensummers.blogspot.com/ I wanted to take the experience to a none common approach, a production outside the Bay Area and in the same token getting my lenses wet in the land of the Lost Angels. The particular shot above was taken 3 hours outside of L.A. In the heart of the Salton Sea 1 hour south for the Joshua Tree. The heat was knocking down on us at a blistering 100 deg temp. I've learned a good lesson from the crew that I've worked-with. The whole team worked, as a well oiled machine, as they are not excited about just another photo-shot. Every member, MUA, Hair and Designer, wants "The Shot!" And has lobbied for a mag. submission months before we committed to this project. A 3 month logistics planning, an hour sparring of words and bitch calling... All left behind in the table and a camaraderie felt, when we all punched-in and went to work.

The CEO

Contacted by the founder and owner of "The Flow Online Magazine" Roger Hooks. The client is looking for something new, something fresh, I was kinda nervous during the shoot and thinking to myself, what has he wasn't seen, yet? The client has an extensive background in graphics design, he paints and hires artist in the Bay Area, as well, as promotes talents. Oh.....well, here goes nothing. I will give him.. AG|Photography.

The client is the owner of The Flow Online http://www.theflowonline.com/ HOOKSCITY http://hookscity.com/

Steve + Stephanie

8.14.10

A fairytale has just begun in the most perfect way, down on one knee a ring was given, “YES” did the lady say, but this is not a dream you’re in, this is love that’s true. Now all await with eagerness the day you’ll say “I do!”

As the crew filmed and shot Steve and Stephanie one wonderful day in San Francisco, CA. My team and I had a great time, with this two. Love again was in the air and it was easy for a photographer to capture two love birds interacting, because they share pure and true feelings towards each other

Smart Objects

Landscape photography is the foundation of every photographer, the joy of taking an image as the sun goes down is priceless. In this video teaser, I took a photograph and executed a style in digital manipulation called “HDR” But without the aid of known softwares, but treated the photo manually using Adobe Bridge “Smart Objects”

My everything

A wedding story that I was fortunate to be a part of, this was my first wedding, when I started shooting events and gatherings, this summer of 2009. I did not know what to expect, nor I did not know how to be a wedding photographer.

I have seen and read all the technicalities of how to photograph such event, but as soon as I was in the middle of things, I realized that weddings is not any different than of that in other genre.

During the shoot I realized that these are two people who are deeply in love and born that the love that they share has brought them to surrender in holy matrimony. One can sense pure love and its energy in the air.

A photograph, I reacted from within and started taking pictures, the way I read the couple passion as they exchange their vows in front of their love ones, friend and to God.

I heart San Francisco

Surround by water on thee sides; the city charms its residents and visitors with magnificent views, quaint Victorian houses, and unusual semi tropical semi marine climate; -the average temperature – 65F,with the coldest month-July through August-very milky foggy and misty.

The city often referred with Wild West, Gold Rush, Barbary Coast and hippie ”Flower People” movement in the 60-th and 70-th with Height Ashbury district-the center of hippie sub culture. The most liberal in USA in every aspect: From gay liberation (the most largest gay population per capita in the world!) With rainbow flags trimming rows of streetlights in Castro district, and the largest homeless population per capita in the country through multi million dollar mansions in Pacific Heights with magnificent bay views.

The City has it all-“Only in San Francisco”-from the elegance and absurd to glamour.

Best Home

A local Real Estate agency wanted to compile images for their 2010 showroom, showcasing the best of their finest homes in the market. The image above is just one of the images that I submitted to the agency.

Shooting interior was new to me and to be honest I was stumped and left confused on what lighting to use how to approach the assignment, but when I was on location it became apparently easy, because I took the shot as to how an ordinary house buyer would look at the house. Details by fine details.

Cafe' anyone?

The worlds largest mall can be found in Asia, where land is cheap and labor costs are low, enormous shopping malls are popping up in Dubai, China, and the Philippines, with India expected to jump into the fold soon. The latest to open: The Dubai Mall in the United Arab Emirates, a mini metropolis featuring 1,200 stores, a 22-screen movie theater and a five star hotel.

Based on gross leasable area, or the amount of space devoted to revenue-producing operations like stores, amusements and food, Asia is home to seven of the world's 10 largest malls, six of which have been built since 2004. That's added some 27 million square feet of shopping space to cities like Dubai, Beijing and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the Philippines alone, these mega malls is filled with all the commodities of luxury and shopping extravaganza, making Asia the playground for the rich and the wealthy.

I took a snap picture of this simple cafe' shop, appreciating its structural details.. It dawn to me that growth is unstoppable, the economic power is well within Asia's reach to becoming the next power. The prophecy that one day the sleeping dragon will wake, thus in progress shows.

Flight

Flight, passing above and beyond ordinary bounds. Is what I picked up from working with different known photographers. The dynamics of photography has change for me, pushing myself more and more.

Working with Tony Chu was a wonderful experience, as Tony is well known for his off the wall work in fashion and his dramatic, magical post process in weddings.

Africana Fashion

Recently working with a wardrobe designer doing an editorial in Africana Fashion. The idea for the composition was inspired by a sunset that I saw, while my fiancée and I drove through a little town in Hollister, Ca. The sunset was golden, it reminded me of an African Safari. Thus this image composition is born.

This is my song

The images on this slideshow was taken during an editorial shoot in the streets of San Francisco. A walkabout with Paul Ferradas www.ferradasphotography.com and Cesar Thomas.

We witness the sad epidemic of this great country, where the poor and the needy is swept under the rug of society, this debate goes on and on and it has been for years, so I will let the images speak for themselves.

I got out from my regular post processing and treated the pictures in black and white, this is not my norm. But I think it suites this particular genre.
